India: Innerwear Trade's Leading Exhibition is Schedule on 15th February

Indian Subcontinent’s leading intimate apparel trade show “Body Wear International Trade Fair ” have announced the dates of the exhibition, which are scheduled on 15th -17th Feb 2009 at N.S.I.C. Exhibitions Ground, Okhla, New Delhi. “Bodywear International Trade Fair” has developed itself as the most important platform for the Indian & International lingerie market which gives the widest exposure to this lingerie sector. Established itself as the leading meeting place for the lingerie manufacturer and retailers; this exhibition is undoubtedly the biggest amongst all garment trade shows. Dedicated and focused on the trade networking and giving the direct business opportunity and exposure to Local Manufacturers, Importing Wholesalers, Agents, Exporting & Importing Retailers, Distributors, Malls, and other buying houses, “Body Wear International Trade Fair” in its 9th Year is again giving the national and international brands of women’s and men’s under garment brands and offering opportunities to consider various franchise options. Organized by Mumbai Based Trade Exhibition Organizer, NIKSAN INFO MEDIA PVT. “If we look at the market, than the report shows that the global innerwear market was around USD 30 billion in 2007, and is further projected to increase at the rate of 9% to become USD 31.6 billion by 2010. Of the total global lingerie sales, bras account for 56%, briefs at 32%, and day-wears make the remaining 12%, and retail lingerie market has grown by USD 770 million. The traditional Indian market or the Indian Bra makers; we’ll find that various manufacturers are churning out the same kind of patterns in woven cotton or hosiery jersey fabric, with some cutwork or chikan inlay or GPO lace. The embellishments are bare minimum; the patterns are fixed either in B cup or C cup. Each manufacturer has between 25 running patterns to about 75 patterns in the market at any given time. He maintains a steady stock of raw material and inventory in producing these styles and since these are the regular patterns in the market. There are hardly any seasonal variations, it is a full year around work for them, with hardly any changes and the concentration is mainly on servicing the market and catering to the demand that is increasing due to the dynamic nature of the market. This market is growing in any where between 8% to 20%. In India, Delhi itself has more than 500 manufactures of lingerie in and around; which makes Delhi as a producer of both quantity and quality in lingerie trade. This capital also caters to more than 1500 retailers of lingerie and a hosiery product, which by far is the largest retail spread for any market in India”, further says Mr. Sanjay Manocha.

The Body Wear International Trade Fair will show the product range like:- Lingerie, Bras, Panties, Nightwear, Men’s Undergarments, Bridal Lingerie & Bridal Nightwear, Chemises, Camisoles, Corsets & Bustier, Push-up Pads, Bra extenders, Beachwear, Sports & Gym Wear, Fabric, Laces & Accessories, Garment Machinery, Trade Publications etc. Further Mr. Manocha, the Organizer says, “Not only this- through Fashion Glitter-the popular fashion show of lingerie trade, Bodywear will show the latest trends in lingerie world. L-n-L Retail Award will be also announced by the L-n-L (Lace-n- Lingerie Magazine) the premiere magazine of this industry for the retailer who has given fantabulous performance throughout the year and Best Lingerie Designer will be also facilitated in 9th Edition of “Body Wear International Trade Fair”.
